Educational Development

As an organization of college-educated women, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. plays an active role in the educational movement, seeking to inspire, motivate, and support the aspirations and achievement of youth and young adults. 

The Educational Development Committee of the Brooklyn Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, is committed to advancing educational excellence and creating opportunities for academic achievement, personal growth, and lifelong success. Guided by the Sorority’s legacy of public service and its commitment to educational development, the Committee works to empower students, support families, and strengthen our community through impactful educational initiatives.

The dynamic and multifaceted committees, including Black College Fair, Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy, Delta GEMS, E.M.B.O.D.I. and Teen Lift, seek to expand access to resources that help students reach their full potential through educational enrichment, college and career readiness programs, and community partnerships. We are dedicated to promoting academic achievement, encouraging lifelong learning, and equipping young people with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to pursue their educational and professional aspirations.
