This year Brooklyn Alumnae Chapter will be volunteering with New York Cares for their annual Spring Cares Day event on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 9:30am-2pm. 
 

We will be volunteering at Coffey Park located at 85 Richards Street, Brooklyn, NY 11231. On the Spring Cares Day, Brooklyn Alumnae Chapter, along with volunteers from several other teams, will perform a variety of outdoor beautification tasks such as cleaning, planting, painting, installation of erosion control measures, removal of invasive plant species, etc.
  
The deadline to register online as a volunteer is Saturday, April 15, 2017. New York Cares cannot guarantee that volunteers will be able to register onsite the day of the event.  If you are interested, please register as soon as possible.


Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world. Members of the sorority are committed to public service with a primary focus on the Black community. Chartered in 1949, over the past 68 years the Brooklyn Alumnae Chapter has partnered on and/or organized programs to enhance the educational and cultural life and needs of the residents in the Brooklyn Community.

Brooklyn Alumnae Chapter supports the efforts and initiatives of New York Cares annual Spring Cares Day in transforming public parks and gardens throughout the city while simultaneously contributing to the lives of thousands of New Yorkers through its year-round programming in education, immediate needs and revitalization.Brooklyn Alumnae Chapter is raising money to support these programs and initiatives and make a lasting impact on the lives of New Yorkers.
