"Shirley" tells the inspiring story of Brooklyn's own Shirley Chisholm, the first Black woman elected to Congress, and her groundbreaking run for the 1972 Democratic presidential nomination.

Before the film, we’ll have a special discussion with former Assemblywoman Annette Robinson and other guests about Shirley Chisholm's impactful legacy in our community and New York politics.
