Black Book Fair: Owning Our Power! The Stories of Black Women In Politics

The mission of Brooklyn Alumnae Chapter’s annual Black Book Fair is to promote literacy in the borough of Brooklyn while encouraging a love of reading for all ages. 

This FREE event is open to adults and children from the Brooklyn community and beyond, featuring a variety of activities including, but not limited to, a children’s reading corner, readings by participating authors, vendors, book signings, and more.

Featuring a group discussion Isabel Allende's "Island Beneath the Sea," the Book of the Year pick by our International Awareness & Involvement and Arts & Letters Committees.
